Article summary

Email is a great way to communicate with our referral partners, patients, and anyone who engages with the dental office.  Some basic expectations for communicating via email:

  • Use complete sentences and do not use text language (LOL, BC, RE, ETC)

  • Be polite and courteous - remember you are creating a written record that patients will reference time and time again.

  • Be as accurate as possible.  Make sure you double check when communicating about patient's clinical questions that you are delivering accurate information.

  • Do not use all caps - in written form this is perceived as yelling.
