Creating An Appointment

In Open Dental:

• Click on "Select Patient" at top left of screen,

•  type in patient name in pop-up box, 

• double-click on patient's name or select "OK" button at bottom of pop-up box, 

• on the right side of screen select "View Pat Appts" or "Make Appt" button, if under "View Pat Appts" select "Create New Appt" in pop-up box, under either selection select appointment type and select "OK"(if applicable, if not applicable select "OK"), 

• select treatment from planned treatment (if applicable) or select from quick links,

•  choose units of time on the slider on left side of pop-up box,

• when ready to app appointment select "OK" and appointment will appear on pinboard on the right side of your screen,

• click and drag from pinboard to add to schedule

• go over cost of appointment with patient, place cost notes under "Pop-up" tab in patient chart.
